Welcome to Vonderheide Floor Coverings Company

Vonderheide Floor Coverings Company was founded by Henry Vonderheide in 1947. Henry started the floor covering business after working for someone installing Linoleum. He enjoyed it and took pride in his workmanship. Henry’s son Dale soon took interest, which allowed Henry to expand and work with his wife Thada in the showroom. Henry eventually retired, which allowed Dale and his wife Marilee to run the business. By 1980 Dale’s sons began to install starting with Mike, Steve, then Tim, along with several other installers.

Over the years, with satisfied customers spanning all of Central Illinois, Vonderheide’s was able to expand by opening Vonderheide’s Carpet Outlet in 1991. Today Vonderheides has expanded to an 8,000 square foot beautiful showroom with the Main Store and Outlet all under one roof to better serve their customers and a separate distribution center for logistics. Today Vonderheide’s still strives to give each customer the same service they have grown to expect through the generations.
